First check for ANY Vacuum leaks then,
2 culprits probably at work here. 85,000 miles on original 02 sensor is a
stretch. Bosch reccomends replacement @ 60k or so dep on fuel used etc etc.
I'd start with a new sensor
(BTW we sell the 4-wire BOSCH EZ-Fit Tip Kit for your car (4-wire) for
just $69.95.) That could be your problem OR the next area is the electronic
IDLE CONTROL VALVE under the hood, Large Black Valve mounted up top with a 3
prong Electrical connector. This device regulates the air into the
system.New Bosch valve BMW LIST $120 Your cost $89.Hope this helps! Earlier
Model BMW's use a smaller valve & different Idle control module. Your Idle
Control Module is now built-in to the Motronic brain box. Pray that it is'nt
in the brainbox itself. E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E. Rodd Sidney Da Parts Guy !!
