325iC rear window

Hi Digest,
The rear plastic window on my 325iC has cloudy strips running 
horizontally across the window.  The Bentley manual states that these can 
be removed by, "heating the area to a maximum of 90 degreesC (195F)".  
Has anyone tried this and if so any further suggestions?  Will a hair 
dryer do the job?
