True, typically a car will run rich. I used this on a Mustang to fool 
the computer into supplying extra fuel to keep up with other mods I had 
done and not run lean at the track. Some say this can lead to unburned 
fuel during normal operations. This can hurt emmisions  hardware, and 
can possibly leak past rings and thin the oil. I never had a problem in 
150k miles in the 'Stang. I don't see the benefit of removing the 
thermostat on a close to stock engine though.
