I can sympathize with you. I have been very disapointed with the paint
quality of my M3. It's paint (as well as build quality ) seems inferior to my
1985 M635CSi. I wonder could it be that BMW has sacraficed paint quality in
the name of cost on the E36 since everything from the 316i to the M3 is
painted the same. I wonder if the more expensive models (new 7 & 8 series)
have the same paint problems.
