        I am looking for a car to buy with my $22K.  Considering both the
318ti base model and the top of the line VW VR6.  I know all of you would
probably tell me to forget about the VW but I wanna know about the ti before
I decide.  I have already gone thru all the literature on the 2 car but I am
still stuck in between.  I would really appreciate some advice and comments,
especially from the 318ti owners.  Talking stock, the ti is no match for the
VR6 in engine power, right?  The guys at R&T liked the handling of the
Bimmer better though.  What is the aftermarket for the ti like?  I am
thinking about getting the ti with no active package so that I can save some
money for the mods later on.  Any feed back?  Thanks a lot for listening,
