Dealer discount.

Folks,..

I bought an air filter, high headlamp, some dash light bulb and a driver side
lock assembly. On all those parts I paid about half the list price on the
reciept.  Now, maybe that large discount only applies to certain items.:-|

My last post seems to have stirred a lot of interest, the dealer is in
Cincinnati, Ohio, on stewart road. It is one out of only two BMW dealers
in town (the other dealer - no discount).  Please don't call and ask
about the discount, just ask for the price with the CCA discount. Maybe
they don't know that 45% is too much.. and blame it on the night clerk.

Sorry for the info that might not be relevant to you folks on the coast! You
might wanna consider asking around (our local dealer didn't advertise that
discount)

I guess this conpensates for the lack of driving schools, 1 1/2 day drive
from October fest.  and while I'm at it.. I have a question:

1- I have a small play in the sterring wheel, dealer says it can be adjusted
witout having to replace the box , can I do it myself (no heated garage!)

2- Lately I noticed the sound of some electric motor that seems to kick in
in cold weather while braking or turning steering wheel or both. I'm
figuring ABS  doing some adjustments behind the scenes, anybody have
the same...

The car in question is a 535i  '85
