Re: Are 733i and 533i similar?

I believe the 533i and 733i share many common items, including many of the
items under the hood. I worked with someone who had an '84 733i, a '85 535i
and an 80 or 81 320i. He did most of his own repair. When working on the 
535i and 733i, and he talked about "checking" out suspected bad items by 
borrowing working pieces from the car that was working properly. Thus, I 
would suspect that much of the manuals would apply to both. Of course, 
Murphy says that if anything is different, it will be the thing on which
you are working  1/2 8).
