energy loss?

Is it as apparent to others as it is to me that with the switch to
digest only, there has been a loss of energy on the BMW list?

I'm surprised, because after the first day of having my work interrupted with
messages, I switched happily to the digest format, so that now I can
skim thru at my leisure. But the digest format seems to have turned a
lot of people off.

I wonder why.
