2002Ti/Solex PHH sputtering prob

I've encountered a similiar problem with the PHH solexes on my first 2002.  
Check the float levels.  They are adjusted by thefuel inlet fittings.  Note 
how it resembles a micrometer barrel.  Check a Haynes manual for the correct 
procedure.  (I'm not going to attempt it from memory, as there's a lot to 
remember)

Anyway, misfiring (usually sputtering) was caused by a lack of fuel in the 
float bowl.
(in my case) Also, when you're setting/checking this, use some compressed 
air and blow out the idle circuits.
