Spluttering 2000CS
Richard Lundquist requested advice about a misfire during acceleration.
I can't claim to know anything about the 2000CS but this problem sounds
very much like a failed vacuum advance unit/pipe. Disconnect the pipe
from the carb and give it a good suck (wipe it first). Look out for the
rotation (advance) in the distributor. If no movement, or if you keep
sucking air, the diaphram or pipe is leaking, which will might give
the symtoms that you discribe (well it did for me anyway!)
