Amit,
I have attended both the BMW driving school from Skip Barber and
the 5 day racing school from Jim Russell. They were both good. The BMW
school taught more on street driving and how to control your car in a bad
situation. The Russell school concentrated more on racing technique
and driving. Of course, the Russell school, I thought, was funner, due
to the fact that you drive race cars and not sedans(ANY sedan feels like
garbage after a few days in a 900 pound race car).
I found the Russell school a little nerve-racking because many people
were faster than me and the profuse tailgating would usually push me to
screw up(Tailgating took on a different meaning out there). However it
was exhilarating. One of the other students there had a new M3, so the
fun didn't end after the track closed:-)
