[bmw] CPO windshield gasket replacement??

Has anyone had their windshield gasket replaced under the
CPO program or am I fighting a losing battle with the less than
cooperative dealer?  My gasket is literally melting .  Coming off in
chunks and melting when you squeeze them together.
1999 528iT  53K.
Seems that a windshield gasket should not melt in your hand like
chocolate.
Any support is appreciated.
