Re: [bmw] 528e seat cushion replacement

Have you checked with the dealer? Several years ago I replaced the bottom seat cushions in my former E30 318i. The dealer had the cushions available, and it wasn't difficult to disassemble the seat, remove the (vinyl) upholstery, replace the cushion, and put it all back together. The only thing that was missing for me was that there was a thin layer of foam between the cushion and the upholstery, and I didn't replace it (didn't know if it was even replaceable), so the cushions ended up being a little firmer than original.

Our '85 528e is showing its age in many respects. Can't stand to sell it,
so need to start "restoring."

The driver's bottom seat cushion has lost its bolster. Anyone know of a
source for a replacement other than a junk yard?

As always, thanks for your help.
