RE: [bmw] Cracked 17x8 Borbet Type R wheel
Jeff,
Try the Wheel Collision Center. I think Daryl can fix anything.

Subject: [bmw] Cracked 17x8 Borbet Type R wheel
I went down to my local RimPro shop this morning to have a winter wheel
straightened. Turns out that the wheel has some small cracks in it and
they felt that it was unsafe.
So we call TireRack to see if they have any more wheels in stock. Well, of
course, this wheel has been discontinued and they don't have any more in
stock.
RimPro wanted to sell me 4 used OEM wheels (style #44) for about $125 a
piece. But I decided to do a little research. I've already got the snow
tires (Dunlop M2s at 225/45HR-17).
So what are my options:
* Find a used Borbet Type R wheel somewhere
* Buy 4 new or used wheels and have my snow tires mounted on them
* Buy 4 steel wheels and get cheap covers
Anyone got some Type R's laying around? Any other ideas?
Thanks,
