You did not mention the year of the 735i but if it is an E32 then there is
no power rack as one lister stated. The steering is the old recirculating
ball(s) type albeit with very sophisticated improvements.  If there are no
leaks on the hoses or at their banjo bolts check below the steering box
between the booster unit and the box itself. The o rings in this area wear
out. They are not difficult to change but almost impossible to get outside
of the OEM kit which goes for about $350.00.
