grill mesh on E36 M3

I just bought a '97 M3 'Luxury', which has a plastic crossed-bar grill over the 
lower air intake opening. I was thinking about removing the plastic grill and 
replacing it with the kind of black mesh that's over the 'Sport' model of the 
M3 instead. Does anyone who has done this have any advice about where to get 
the mesh and how to mount it?
