Bob,

How about getting your belt(s) re-webbed? There are places around that will 
replace the webbing (the "belt" part of the assembly) using your old hardware. 
They bolt right back in and are as good (probably a little better) than new.

Hope you don't mind a personal opinion, but by this age, all the 
belts/webbing in the car should be replaced, not just the driver's side belt.

Dunno where you are, so can't offer any specific places to try. You might ask 
a couple of the race shops in your area, they can point you in the proper 
direction.
