[alfa] Re: Row over steering



Years ago, when someone was trying to explain why Italian cars had the 
steering wheels so far away and at such an odd angle, they said Italians drove using 
the lower rim of the wheel.

I believe the recommended position now for airbag equipped cars is 8 and 4 
o'clock and use the shuffle method on the lower part of the wheel. This keeps 
your arms out of the way of the airbag as someone has already mentioned.

I have been driving this way for the last few years, and I now find that my 
Alfas don't seem to have such a weird steering wheel geometry after all.
