Joe, I have seen pics of various Alfetta wagons (giardianetta ?) both the
early shape and the later version.  I believe they may have all been Colli
conversions/prototypes.

Round headlights on late sedans are not unusual nor specific to the US.

Australia marketed two local 'special' versions of the Alfetta in 1979 and
1982 (approx) called Sportiva I and Sportiva II. Basically they were trim
packs.   I can't recall which configuration was which but when the standard
sedan had round headlights, the Sportiva had square; and when the Alfetta
had square, the Sportiva had round.  So, the grilles were available in both
configurations for the life of the later bodyshape.  Personally I've always
preferred the look of twin round lights, but then I owned a '79 coupe at the
time.
