[alfa] Sanden AC Compressor question

Hey Alfa Digest,
I've got a Sanden AC compressor out of my 1991 164L. Model # SD 709
This compressor is largely siezed. Smoked the clutch, the whole bit.
Will this hulk have any remaining value as a core unit?
So few of the cars I've owned have ever had AC I just don't know how far gone 
is too far gone.
Any input would be appreciated.
