As you stated, toe will equalize itself side to side. I think the shop
did not set toe differently, but caster. It is common to put more caster in
the right front than the left front. That makes the car run straight on a road
with a crown. The car always tries to turn up the "hill" of the road as it
drifts down hill. That makes it run straight.
Or is does if you drive in the correct lane. I guess left lane bandits
would want the front end set up the opposite.
