I always strip the head of all auxillery parts as this needs to be done when
the head is machined flat.
You are going to machine the head flat arnt you? say yes!.
Also use only genuine gaskets all others are crap (my opinion). I have had
nothing but trouble from anything but the genuine item if you want the job
to last,
