i used a similar rig that i rented from Mike Sperry years ago to get the
left side head out of my wife's 82 GTV-6, which had a substantial buildup
in the holes for the studs. it mostly took patience, you added a half turn
or a turn a night, lots of penetrating oil, and eventually it popped free.
