When I bought my '84 GTV6, it had a generic system that had been cobbled
together at muffler shop.  The outlet pipe's diameter looked like it
belonged on a Tercel.  Last November, I replaced that system with a CISAM
center section and ANSA rear section.  I was very pleased with the fit of
both new sections and the system sounds great - throaty but not obnoxious.
*However*, as much as I'd like to report a significant performance gain, my
seat-'o-the-pants dyno can't really detect a difference.  My GTV6 is
completely stock with no other engine modifications.  That's my $.02.
