[alfa] Re: Re: aussie extractors

All right, these extractors are for full race tunned engines, he also makes a
set for mild engines however these are the real deal.
Equal length to the mm and exactly the right tube sizes and lengths for a wild
engine.
The length of the secondaries being adjustable to suit torque/hp band.
The best way to describe there appearance is to say they look like extractors
from on old formula one car (except with fewer cylinders).
The only down side is that they are a bitch to fit.
When I fitted mine I had to grind the bellhosing, and engine mount. Make up a
heat shield for the engine mount and panel beat the crapper out of the floor
pan ( these extractors pass between the steering rack and firewall which was a
necessity to obtain the correct dimensions this also eliminates ground
clearance problems). Oh yes I also had to grind very slightly the steering
rack mount.
In all I had them in and out about six times before I finally removed any
vibration. Cars being cars and jigs being jigs they are not all exactly the
same so other people haven't had as much trouble and also were not as worried
about vibration because they were fitted to race cars. They fit easier into a
105.
E-mail vin at vsharp@domain.elided for info
This is not an add I've just know vin for years and he makes all kind of
performance alfa stuff and builds fantastic race engines.
Cheers,
Dean.

  Dean,

caught your post to the a/d regarding someone in Oz making the best headers
for a race tuned 2L GTV?
could you pass me more info about the headers, and how to get in touch with
this most excellent fellow?

  thanks,
