[alfa] acronym vs initialism

I was going to bite my tongue and stay out of this, but this is one of my
pet peeves.  95% of what are being called acronyms in these posts are
simply initials, not acronyms.  ASAP is an acronym.  Radar is an acronym.
Snafu is an acronym.  SU and BL and fwiw are not.
