Biba, you should be able to get a DVD player for under 50.00 these days. Just make sure its progressive scan as you will be buying a tv to go along with it real soon. Digital tv is mandated by the controlling bodies and your old analog tv will become non fuctional in the very near future. By the way, if you can dig deep enough in your pockets, the new DVD recorders are on the market. One of these with your new HDTV will get rid of your old vhs. Oh, did I mention a new surround sound system? :)
