If it's like the Milano, the HVAC air intake is at the base of the 
windshield at the top of the firewall.   Leaves and other debris 
collects in this duct blocking it's drain holes.   Water then overflows 
into the cabin air ducts... usually into fan shroud, which then leaks 
into the footwells.   This leads to rust, premature failure of the fan, 
and mold.   Get a shopvac or use your hand or whatever to clean out the 
intake...  cover intake with screen to prevent this from happening again.
