Re: [alfa] RE: CAR Stereo Solutions

I am 19 years old. I had a 10 speaker custom system in my little street racer Audi. Does that make me (as you so eloquently put it) a diaper boy? The only person who ever commented on my stereo was a police officer who asked which CD I was listening to because he'd never heard of the band. I know you weren't attacking me personally, but as one of the only spokespeople on the list for the diaper boys, I must at least point out that not all car stereos are used in anger. Yes I am a member of the IASCA. Yes I drool on the 21" subwoofer Hertz recently released. Yes I'm going to have an obscene amount of speakers and amps and subwoofers in my Range Rover. But, having been a diaper boy for nearly 20 years, I also know when I'm pissing people around me off, and when I'm showing my pride and joy to friends and rivals. Nobody ever screams about free flow exhausts on harleys (or spiders, for that matter) but people take one look at the sub box in my trunk and immediately hate my car. Okay, my turn to end rant (I really hate it when I check my email at work... I have nothing better to do than respond) (oh, and sorry for the strange flow of the writing... I'm done with school, I don't have to be eloquent anymore)

I guess my point, in a more concise form, is that having a stereo in your car doesn't mean you're going to be blasting it.

Guess this touches one of my pet peeves, as a high end home audio owner ov

It simply annoys me to no end to drive near a diaper boy with his cheap car
stereo driven to clipping to ensure most drivers within a 5 block range are
reaching the point of road rage. End Rant.
