Yes, he likes Alfas!  A few years ago Alain de Cadenet came to my shop here
in Santa Barbara to see an Alfa Giulia Veloce spider I was selling.  He was
looking for a fun car for his beautiful daughter.  The car was a bit
scruffy, so we didn't make a deal.  It was great to meet him, but I have to
confess that I wasn't aware of his racing background at the time
(pre-Speedvision!).  I mentioned this to an English friend, and he was quite
upset that I didn't invite him over to meet Alain!
