[alfa] Duetto Differential
I have a pretty stupid question about the differential on my '66
Duetto. I got this car recently and have been performing all sorts of
routine maintenance half because I don't know exactly when it was last
done, half to get to know the car. Today it was time to replace the
gear oil in the differential. After I had finished everything and was
pouring the old oil into a small can with a lid I saw a brass washer
from either the drain or the fill plug in the bottom. D'oh! My
question--where does this go? I thought the fill plug and put it back
there because 1) I had dropped the fill plug in the pan I used to catch
the oil and 2) it was easier to put back there. Sorry, but at least I'm
honest. Was I right or am I going to have a puddle of 90 weight waiting
for me tomorrow morning?
Thanks in advance,
Alex Swaim
