Steven & All:

Thanks for keeping the most beautiful IMHO of modern Alfas out there. Here's a link

http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/bennetts77833@domain.elided/vwp?.dir=/New+Photos&.dnm=Alfetta+at+Arctic+Watershed.jpg&.src=ph&.view=t

to a photo of my Alfetta, 1980 after the Detroit Alfa Convention, returning from the lands of the Arctic Watershed (wish I could find the slide with the other side of the sign that says that<g>).

Too bad, after I had the bumpers removed and the bodywork and a beautiful paint job done, too bad that within a year, rust bubbled from all over the body. Traded the car on a GT V6, I regret that; more powerful, but not room for 4 adults, quickly traded it for a Milano. Certainly the Alfetta GT was my favorite, most reliable and one of my highest mileage Alfas.

Best Wishes,

Yup, I am on the digest. Does this mean that I am famous?

And, sadly, my Alfetta GT was the only one on the green at Concorso this
year. Hopefully there will be more next year. Perhaps if there is a
presence at next year's Concorso they will feel obligated to move us up to a
D. Hmmm. Perhaps we'll corner Keith Martin and force him to list our cars
as desirable!!! <insert evil cackle>

A couple Monterey Alfa items in the November 2003 Sports Car Market
magazine:
* Are those Jeff Thraen's and Fred Zimmerman's Berlinas, looking great, on
p. 26? Whose yellow Giulia sedan?
* Norm Vogel (ARA member?) and his GTV on . 30.
* Steve Hooper (ARA member?) and his Alfetta GT on p. 30
