[alfa] Duetto Vs Spider Susp Geometry
I have been studying various publications and find a few references to the " raising of the roll-centre" on the front suspension geometry when the roadsters went from the 1600 Duetto to the 1750 (roundtail). This was supposedly successful in significantly reducing the lean of the car in corners (coupled with a front anti-sway bar).
Can anyone explain how Alfa achieved this ?
Were there different suspension components ( arms, uprights etc), or were the chassis pickup points altered ?
If it was the former, I'm wondering if swapping to the 1750 componentry is worthwhile. If indeed it's possible, would the addition of the sway bar alone suffice on a road car ? Am I thinking too much !
