[alfa] SF Bay Area coolant disposal

Hey guys,

So in my ongoing hot-running saga, I had my patched up radiator recored with 
a 3-row core. Didn't solve the problem, but the car does cool down quicker 
now. Next up is testing the thermostat, and ordering a new coolant cap (I 
have vague recollections from my autoshop course that this is considered a 
maintenance item). Thanks for all the helpful emails.

However, this whole thing leaves me with a problem. I have about 2 gallons 
of old coolant I need to get rid of. I called the county, and they directed 
me to a bunch of places that only take oil, not coolant. Can someone tell me 
a successful (and environmentally conscious) way of disposing of this stuff? 
My next step will otherwise be to try foisting it off on my unsuspecting 
mechanic, but I don't think he'll be too excited about it.
