No offense to one of our esteemed members in Redmond Wa, but this ebay
auction page looks suspiciously like a computer hack that may take advantage
of a Win Doze problem.

This seller (or some hacker on his/her behalf) is also offering (cheap with
no reserve, probably not their own cars) 1996 MBZ 280SL and a 2003 986
Boxter, after a brief history of buying and selling ladies jeans and country
western CD's out of South Carolina. These ebay pages contain pop ups, and
probably hidden active X controls, so it appears that it may be a scam to
get people to click on the ebay page so that nasty stuff is secretly
inserted on the shoppers computer.

I just spent most of 3 solid days removing spyware and malicious bots from
my computer, and that of an elderly friend, so I would suggest that people
on the list who use Win Doze don't get too curious and look at this link
unless they are prepared for possible computer problems. Other links for
spyware fixes, like HijackThis, spybot, adaware, may come in handy after
surfing ebay and craigslist. New hacks recently put these ad programs into
new realms of damage that antivirus and spyware programs have not been able
to fix, so manual removal with editing of your computer registry may be the
only way to undo the damages of online shopping.

If this seller is taking advantage of Microsoft's weaknesses on purpose
(note the purchase of one get rich quick book by this seller), they should
be dangled from a tree, until such time as the (post gw) government takes an
active interest in this online terrorism.

Alfa content: the dozens of hours I spent cleaning my computer of spyware
caught in search of online parts would have been better spent rebuilding my
Dellortos.
