[alfa] Re: Wet tires for Spider

I just replaced old Pirelli P6000s with Bridgestone Turanza LH-S, in the OE
size for my 92 Veloce 195/60/15. Very nice tire--quiet, good brake feel, so
far. In my experience with three or four sets of different Bridgestones (for
Audi S6, Toyota Land Cruiser, Saab 900 turbo, and now Spider) I am very
pleased with them. Their performance does not diminish with age, especially
in the wet. In my experience with Pirellis, Yokohamas and many Goodyears,
they're ok (never great) in the wet for the first 2-5k, and then you might
as well be on a James Bond-style oil slick. They all make fine dry tires,
but for me, Bridgestones are the best in the wet--note, no snow experience,
just rain and some ice.
