[alfa] Re: 86 spide no start after rebuild
Don,
You can remove the reference point sensor (the lower one on the
bellhousing) and look for the flywheel trigger pin. I need to look back at my notes
on where the crank pulley is when the trigger pin appears at the sensor.
But a quicker check would be to hook up a timing light to #1 plug and
see where it fires on the crank pulley. Because of the six bolts on the
flywheel, it is possible for the timing to be off in increments 60degrees (crank
angle). So either you are close (ie OK) or way off.
Let me know if you want me to dig through my old notes on trigger pin
alignment if you aren't going to use the timing light technique.
