[alfa] Re: (alfa) alfa-digest V9 #833, clutch bleeding
Zach,
Sometimes the clutch slave cylinder won't bleed when in it's normal position
with the bleed screw at the bottom. Rotate the clylinder so the bleed screw
is at the top, and bleed from this position. You may want to try this, even
with a new slave cylinder. I also use a Mityvac (hand squeeze actuated
vacuum pump) with very effective results. I completely flushed the brake
fluid on my "new" '91 spider last weekend using this gadget with minimal
work.

have reassembled my spider and am trying to bleed the clutch. However, I can
only get about 8mm of travel on the slave cylinder. Have now manually pumped
about a quart of fluid thru the system.

where the pedal should be in relation to the brake.

I'm not sure if this is just run-off from the bleeder.
