[alfa] RE: rear wheel bearings
Ed,
The way to change rear wheel bearings is to pull out the axles which
may require a slide hammer. Rent one at your local auto parts store
if they don't come out manually - they often do.
Four nuts behind the dust plate are what hold it to the axle hub.
Once the axle shaft is out the rest of the job requires a hydraulic
press to remove the old bearing and press on the new one. Check with
a machine shop.
