Re: [alfa] Re: APE
in as much as I've had nothing but positive
experiences with both Larrys - and that I look forward
to the garage sale with the anticipation of a six year
old kid on christmas eve - I have to say that it
really stinks that anyone would deem such an attitude
an acceptable business practice.
Having spent a couple of years working in the used/new
classic car parts biz (believe me, Volvo people are
even bigger cheapskates that we Alfisti) I encountered
a lot of differing levels of knowledge, patience, and
attitude. However, I also had an understanding that
todays rube customer may be tomorrows club secretary.
It hardly seemed appropriate for me to be judgmental
of people for their lack of knowledge, or their desire
to get the best possible quality item for the lowest
price. In situations where people knew less than I, it
was always an opportunity to share some of the
knowledge that made me an asset to my employer - in
situations where someone knew more than I - I
benefited from the experience (seemed not to rare the
the circumstances better fit the latter of these two -
surprisingly).
Not to be Mr. moral plattitudes - certainly I can be
as big a horse's ass as the next person - just my two
cents.
