I personally wouldn't replace SPICA for Carbs or Carbs for SPICA (why would you).

How about 25% better gas mileage? This summer I finished a rebuild on a 1750 Berlina and switched back from Webers to the Spica. Mileage went from ~ 20-21 to 26-27 mpg. Better power, smoother running, enhanced drivability...
