is your GTV a Bertone or Alfetta ?

i posted a large 3 part write up on this list about 6 months
ago about my experience re-doing the liner on my '73.  i'd be 
happy to send them to you or give a Cliff Notes version off-digest.

i bought replacement foam from a local fabric store and
re-upholstery shop, and glued them up to the roof.

i hung the liner by the steel wrung and pulled tight to the middle
of the windshield frame.  then worked out from there.  do not 
attempt to glue the liner to the roof across the whole surface 
area, it will only look wrinkly and nasty.  only around the periphery
use contact cement.  the shape of the window frames, the
sunvisors, the center insert frame, and the wrung will hold it up 
properly.

of course if you have an Alfetta, all bets are off  - 
i've never done one . . .
