[alfa] 164 that zigs! (sorry Cadillac...)
I received this today, brilliant:
>When I bought my 164L in '98, I had a similar zig and zag. When I
>accelerated, it pulled one way and
>deceleration sent it the other. The problem was cured with replacement of
>rear bushings and shocks.
I was so obsessed with front end issues that I neglected to consider other
possibilities. This makes perfect sense. I have on drive the car a couple
days and will now suspect the rear items. There is no noise from the rear,
but the logic is sound.
Great tip!
Thanks to all for the ideas!
