A while back I came across a webpage of a fellow in the UK who was using Alfa boxer engines to power his 356 Speedster replica, and Karmann Ghia.

Apparently there is a British engineering firm selling kits to adapt the Alfa boxer to the VW transaxle.  I thought it was interesting, as it opens up quite a few interesting kit cars to Alfa power...
