Subject: [alfa] Porsche-Alfa 550
Hi, not sure if anyone else saw this, but the latest issue of Classic
and Sports CAr to hit stateside had a sidenote about some Porsche club
show in England in which someone made a splash with a lightweight 550
Spyder replica fitted with an Alfa 33 boxer engine pushing out 145
horses. Sounds pretty damn cool to me. Anyone know of any pics or add'l
info on this car?

Damnit. Somebody beat me to it. As soon as we get our Opel GT put
together (ideally with a Fiat or Alfa twincam 4, but more likely with
the stock engine), my buddy and I wanted to put a 1.7L 16V Alfa boxer
in a 914. Not quite a 550, but I wouldn't want to cut up a real 550,
and I'd rather drive a 914 than a replica anything.
