Re: Drive shaft vibes

George and others: The shop is named "Gregory's" in Virginia Beach, VA.

The balancer they have looks like a lathe and spins the shaft via an adapter
bolted to the differential end flange. There is another adapter that supports
the center bearing. The tripod end is minus the Giubo and is supported by the
bushing in the end with a 'live center'.

The entire unit is free floating and has sensors at each end and at the center
bearing which are connected to a computer. These measure out of balance in
thousandths of an inch movement and convert that to weight needed in much the
same manner as a tire balancer.

I found these folks by contacting a local race prep shop and they referred
me.

great news Skip....but where did you have it done????? when I tried several
places here they could not handle the front section, ...no way to cope with
the Giubo or the tripode

I have an extra that needs it bad, the used one bought is a bit worn.
