Re: 92 Spider Tachometer and speedometer reading too low

Ketil:

Mine does it too! Speedometer was replaced before I bought the car but was not accurate when I bought it 25,000 miles ago..
Tach has just started acting up too, just recently (5,000 + miles ago) Can no longer multiply tach speed x 22 mph to estimate speed.
(e.g. 2000 rpm = 2k x 22 = ca 44 mph) The Good News, car went all the way to the Alfa Convention and on to Key West and back to Texas, kept up with traffic, air conditioning worked good and top went up and down with out either instrument working correctly!

Will chase those demons this fall, Let me know if you get any off digest replies that have a reasonable answer. Or post a summary of all replies.

Thanks,
Bernie Bennett

Both the speedo and the Tacho -meter reads way too low on my 92 Spider.
Anybody know what might be causing this?
