RE: turning circle

A most interesting reference point to the list that Sonny provided.
Years ago, I owned a Ferrari Boxer (flat 12 mid-engine which preceded
the Testarossa). The Boxer had a turning circle of 12.2 meters (40 ft).

It is evident that the Ferrari had slow steering to provide perfect
steering response at speed (over 100 MPH). One does not want twitchy
fast-steering when traveling at three times the speed limit. The
trade-off to this perfect high speed steering was overly sluggish
response at parking lot speeds. A U-turn for most any other car required
a three point turn in the Ferrari.
