Radiator plug saga

Now I've gotten myself into another fine mess. I removed the brass drain
plug from the base of the radiator to change coolant in my 74 GTV
(disconnecting the lower hose is impractical because of a sump guard). Now
the plug (or radiator) is stripped and I can't tighten the plug back (spin,
spin, spin).

I've been to a half dozen auto parts stores, radiator repair shops, even
plumbing supply houses and can't find a replacement plug.

I have considered permenantly adhering the plug to the radiator with epoxy,
but prefer a cleaner solution. I'm not sure I can (myself) remove the
radiator to tap a new drain. Suggestions?
