RE: GTV6 Steering column
Terry -
It's been a long time since I've looked under the dash of a GTV-6 ... but I
think that there are a few bolts (2 maybe?) that hold the steering column
up. Remove or loosen these and you should be able to move the steering
column enough to replace the coupler.
I know I've done this in the past, but it was a loooooong time ago, but
don't remember it as being difficult. Sorry I can't be more specific :-(
HTH,
Jeff

Subject: GTV6 Steering column
Does anyone out there know how to pull the steering wheel shaft out of the
column. I need to replace the part of the shaft that when the rubber
couplingcollapses the the horn does not work. I have disconnected the joint
at the base of the column but still cannot pull the shaft out of the column.
